Good luck, Hakkı! Glad to hear the fish restaurant starts a second life. It was our favourite fish restaurant West of Girne and I do hope your place will be as good as it was in the past (until the chef was dismissed and the restaurant was declining rapidly).

Can you publish your menu, specialties and prices?

The restaurant used to be very good about two years ago. Then went rapidly downhill.

We were part of the party last night . What an embarassment. Drivs wre slow, the menu was , o put it mildly lacking enthusiasm. As Dutch has stated the meals weren't delivered. Our "Fish of the day with 15 Mezes" Consited of 7 little dishes with the usual stuff you can get in jars in any supermarket. Humus, Beans, beetroot , 4 slices of cold potatoe, more beans, bread, 4 bits of lemon and two huge plates of salad. (Does that add up to 15?)

So we complained and we were bought another selection of the same without the lemons and the bread this time. The fish arrived later which was OK althought theportion of chips which was offered was enough for one person and had to do for 4.

The waitres was at times close to tears and when one of our party went into the kitchen with her to check progress there was no activity and the reason? No mushrooms to fry, no prawns to grill and no Octopus to serve.

What a shame we used to go quite often when Hamit was running it (and before) and the food was always excellent. Will not bother now.

Now if this criticism (however well deserved) was directed in the past at another restaurant ;clue begins with G it would be construed as detrimental to local business and the thread closed and the poster castigated.

Its as i have said before one rule for one and one............
