We stayed at my son and his partners apartment at Olive Grove 7th-14th Feb. we were he only ones there. The snagging had not been done (or at least not our idea of snagging). There was limited water, no hot water, temp electircs which kept going off. The pool has no water and the surrounds are not complete. No lighting on staircases and entrance hall. That is just a small list, we actually had a list of 35 faults which took us 5 days to vaguely sort out with the builders who were not working on site and had to be called out. The air con had not been fitted and we waited 5days for this to arrive so we had any sort of heating. I hope this is of some help to you.

Forgot to say the limited water supply is the tank outside which lasts approx 3 days (for 2 adults)you have to pay the Municipality(they said) before water is switched on properly and meter fitted, this was paid and as we left it was still not sorted, you will need to speak to Jelal (my son did not know that this was another charge).

I think you will find you have to pay a fee to the council for the actual water meter and transfer from Santa Fe's name into yours at the council office in Lapta. You need to take your contract.

Re the electric you must go to Kibtek, next time you are over AFTER the electric has been connected and change into your name from Santa Fe's name. You need to take your contract. As a non-Cypriot you will have to leave a deposit, sure someone on here will know what it is, think its about £200 or 50p if you are a Cypriot or have a Cypriot sponsor.

Also another item to add to your budget is the immovable property tax which is due on all properties anually, added to your water bill in Lapta ( about £60 I think).

Santa Fe owners have a preferential rate with an insurance co here. You would be well advised to insure as a block if you can get together with your neighbours then there is no dispute on common areas ( Stairwells etc) in the case of a claim.

Thanks for the update, site was like that when we were there in feb. Son and family are going out in April, as far as I am aware everything has been paid . Though I wouldn't believe everything they tell you as they told us some real porkies when we were over there. Hope everything is cleared up soon. Thanks.

Latest update re Olive Grove i spoke with the management on site again they have a tractor on site clearing the overgrown weeds also Kibtek were present all the wiring is outside the apartments they are due to connect on Tuesday or Wednesday. Up to press only 10 people out of 28 have paıd maıntenance thıs wıll be a problem because ı thınk those who do not pay wıll arrıve to an overgrown garden and maybe no water. I spoke wıth other buyers who were on sıte they agreed ıt ıs unfaır and everybody should have paıd by now. I suggested the maıntenance manager do a lıst of people and apartment numbers and put ıt up on sıte as far as ı am concerned no money no facılıtıes......
