A gang of Muslim girls who repeatedly kicked a young woman in the head walked free from court after a judge heard they were 'not used to being drunk' because of their religion.



The group screamed 'kill the white slag' while kicks raining in on 22-year-old Rhea Page as she lay motionless on the ground, the court heard.



The attackers - three sisters and their cousin - were told by a judge that normally they would have been sent to jail.

This story has been hitting the headlines over here... and when compared to the girl that 'ranted' on the tram, who is still being remanded, it is stirring things up somewhat. People will not stand back for too long once the balance of justice tips too far one way. We are heading for trouble on the streets somewhere down the line and the UK politicians are too blinkered to see it coming!

msg 11: if the girls were not used to drinking then why did they drink in the first place, just because they are not used to drinking does not excuse for their actions, and should have been jailed for it accordingly. This only makes excuse for others in the future.



I am not used to drugs so shall go and get high and go and beat the sh.ts out of someone in the middle of Kyrenia and use this as an excuse.

Judge Robert Brown should be removed immediately. Not only has he let Rhea and her partner Lewis down, he has given decent Moslems (the vast majority, the press only talk about the reprobates) even more concern for their safety - as the ignoramous in society, will tar all Moslems with the same brush. I also question why these females, whose make-up and attire is so westernised as to negate any Islamic tenets (fine - except Islam was their get-out clause) why were they not also charged for attacking Lewis?which the video clearly shows they did, whilst he tried to defend Rhea. Not the LEAST bit surprised to see the female policewoman jabbing her finger in Lewis's face - with her back to one of the protagonists, who came back to finish the job. Why were the female yobs not handcuffed immediately, instead of the policewoman (one assumes) lecturing Lewis not to retaliate - even the policeman seems to be pushing Lewis away from Rhea at one point - I am SOOOOOOOOOO ashamed to be English

The judge has a perfectly valid argument here, and I applaud him. If people have been exposed to a situation they are not trained in or comfortable with, then reason should be applied, and lenience given.



Now, I'm not particularly used to handling an AK47, but if anyone can lend me one I'll happily pop along to a mosque or two on Friday and give it a bash.



On a more positive not, don't forget that in both Iraqu and Afghanistan Muslims (often from differing sects) are killing each otehr every day, and it doesn;t get much more efficient than that, so be gretaful for small mercies.

Msg 20, it might be skint but it has one of the best legal systems and justice in the world, Yes they get free handouts but most people that get that are in need of it, not cheating the system where people work and claim benefits as well.



At leat it cares to a point, how many people in this country returned back home carring money in suitcases of the decent tax payers of the UK by cheating the system and bailing out back to Cyprus.

On a slightly lighter note, I went to the dispensary at our local doctor's today to pick up one box of pills. Thye lady dispenser put the box of pills into a paper bag, I said that I did not need the bag but she insisted, so I commented that it was a waste of money, but she said it had to be put into a bag, why ? I asked. She explained that it was to protect my privacy if I accidently dropped them outside, so no one could see what I was taking! so if I did drop the bag what if someone opened the bag and saw what I was taking? Another example of PC gone mad. Sorry if off topic.

Why does religion have to come in to it. Muslims are muslims because they were born to muslim parents, practicing or not. TC,s are muslim for the same reason but the majority are not practicing muslims, only usually entering a mosque for funerals. I don,t know about now, but for my generation at least , being christened was almost obligatary, so, every day, crimes are committed by people who, by definition, are christian but how many times does a news report mention this fact.



The fact is, this 'girl gang' are just evil people hiding behind a religion that they probably know nothing about. I wonder, how many of them have actually seen the Quoran or know where the nearest mosque is.



I know a lot of good, honest. true muslims who despair of how the world is going, don,t tar them all with the same brush.

Ms 25 - to digress also - my car broke down, I rang Greenflag, and being on a mobile running out of charge, immediately gave my name and reg number. The woman stopped me saying I WASN'T to give any information until asked for it, and because I now had told her my name and car reg, she would have to go through a looooooooooooooooong question and answer session to ascertain I was who I said I was, and owned the car I told her I was sitting in, having broken down!!!!! I told her my mobile could run out any minute, and I was in an isolated spot (no passing person I could stop to attract attention) to which she replied, she HAD to do this, for Data protection - to protect me!!!!!!!! Pathetic - I wanted to scream - told her in NO uncertain terms what I thought and she agreed - but as an employee of theirs, had to do this - jobsworths get paid a fortune to think up ever more risible rubbish - whilst the Forces, the NHS, Government leave full family/contact details on discs in cars daily

My brother in-law is a Muslim and lives in Lapta.He drinks very heavy and I will be visiting him this Christmas and New year.



His wife has been looking into him attending AA but it seems on their web that all groups are closed.How can my sister find out when they have an open group that he can attend.She thinks he needs the help ASP.

Racism rears its ugly head again. Violence and drink often walk hand in hand, of course we all know full well drinking too much causes a lessening of inhibitions, I guess they behaved in a way they would like to when not intoxicated, not uncommon in all drunks of all religions and racial backgrounds. but the drink gave them the dutch courage. It does not matter what race, religion or colour you are, if you commit an act of violence, alcohol induced or not, there should be a punitive sentence.

robgreen - if you or your sister Google "Alcoholics Anonymous North Cyprus" contact details are on the web page. If all groups are full, I feel sure they can put you in touch with someone who can help.



I know a lady who is very prominent within AA in N C and feel sure she would be able to help in one way or another. She also speaks Turkish and English, by the way
