If you have old gold jewellery, 9, 18, 22 Karat etc., necklaces, bracelets, etc. etc. broken or complete, I will offer to buy it from you - for cash there and then!

You can bring your old gold to me at:

Açmenya Restaurant, Thursday Market in Alsancak 11am-3pm

Chateau Lambousa Saturday Market in Lapta 8.30am - 12.30pm

Pine Bay Sunday Market in Karaoğlanğlu 9am - 1pm

Hi I will be visiting with my wife over Christmas and New Year, she has loads and loads of unwanted gold I have asked her to pack them.

I will make a note of the markets and hope to come and see you.

More spending money is my way of thinking, but she might want to buy more gold !

I have always been sceptical of the gold buying sites ie; postalgold etc. From a recomendation by a friend I sent off some scrap gold to Tesco, really a lot of rubbish, broken chains, an old bracelet & odd earrings. They send a postal pack and if you aren't happy with the offer they send your stuff back. I was totally amazed when they mailed me the day after I posted it and offered me £1100 !!! I was impressed that they sent a run down of the gold carat and didn't just lump it as 9 carat which I thought it all was. I had estimated by weighing it myself that it was worth about £600 so that was a nice surprise. They lodged the money in my account the same day.

I got a good price from jeweller on Grand Bazaar who was a friend of my friend.

Just bits of broken gold and odd earrings. Bought a new pair for my daughter.

You have to be careful back home too. I had quite a lot more broken bits of high carat

(from Middle East) and the price varies a lot, which it shouldn't. Best price I got from

pawnbrokers in centre of Glasgow. The tested it all and it was all over 21 ct. ~Checked

my identity etc.

Thank you for your positive comments, it's good to hear success stories from people with good experiences to share.

And I look forward to meeting with you Rob when you're over here. Hope we can do a little business.

You'll always get sceptics or even jealous people who don't like to hear about opportunities, ideas to make money or even your own successes. Best to avoid listening to those people who hold you back in life, I think!

Corbo, got to agree, use bullion vault myself.Next to no charges and you buy and sell for what the worlds spot price is for 24carat.Dont forget silver.

I dont think however some people get the idea . Its irrelevant the condition of the jewellery. its the weight.

For anyone wanting to know the value on the market of of any gold they might have at the moment

9ct 14ct 18ct 22ct 24ct

£13.21/g £20.60/g £26.41/g £32.26/g £35.22/g Selling your gold the price shouldnt be much lower than 5% off these prices.

Pipie ,what are you talking about.? Who is jealous of who? What opportunities? There are hundreds of companies buying gold. They do it to make the best profit possible and you should sell at the best price possible, not to give 'opportunities'.

PS. wanna buy a second hand motor. Good runner, 10 years only 500 miles on the clock.Honest..Paperwork to follow.
