Prepaid credit card from Turkbank

Just wanted to let you know that a friend of mine who works at Turkbank informed me that they are now providing pre-paid credit cards you can use all over the world. So you could give it to some one abroad and transfer the money to them through the card, for example. Or you could top it up and take it with you abroad, instead of taking cash.

Had one for ages with Turkbank, put the money in and then use it in the shops etc.

How can it be a credit card when you are not using credit, it is really a debit card at the end of the day.

My English Rep at Turk Bankasi told me about this last week.

Great for the Grandkids - I can put the money on their cards and they can choose what they want.

I think it is an excellent idea.

I have an Escape card issued in UK its a prepaid card , I fill it with pounds before I come to Cyprus, no charge if paying in at Phones 4U , then draw pounds out in HSBC Girne (no charge) or use as like a debit card credit card in the restaurants and shops. OK bars as well...
