I found out this morning a little secret on the dash of my car,is there any one who can tell me when they get into a different car how they know which side the petrol cap is on.

The answer is on the dash the picture of a pump will show you the arm of the pump right or left Am I daft after driving for 30 years I have never taken any notice of it.

OH god another blonde moment.

We have LDV Convoy, it shows petrol cap on left side, petrol cap is on the right side.

Ha ha I have just checked all our cars in the pound they are all right to the dash,then I checked a van it was wrong.!!!!!!!!!

They are all on the left, it just depends wether you look from the front or the rear.

in a strange car i usually pull the fuel cap lever inside the car as drive into the fuel station and look in the door mirrors for which side your "flap" appears !!! careful !!!!!!!!

which really 'strange' cars have you driven?



The strangest I ever drove was a Saab with free wheeling hubs,.. you took your foot off the gas and it seemed to speed up,.. very strange!
