Geetee53, I may misunderstand your question (and then I apologise), but do you mean places in TRNC where you can buy or borrow new or second hand books?

DC, no, it's a group of people who read the same book (say in a week) and then they meet up and discuss the book. I wouldn't mind hearing if there is one.

Why not start one yourself?

@ msg 3 & 4: What an interesting concept! Never had the time before in Holland, but now I'd like to join such a "book club" or help to establish one in TRNC. Shall we try it?

Geetee - yes, why not start one? I used to be in one in UK, met every 3/4 weeks - took it in turns to choose a book that could be borrowed or bought, depending on taste (some choices I wouldnt bother to buy but got from library - dfficult here) Im to the west - anyone else interested? Could meet at a friendly restaurant and have a coffee and discuss, or at homes.

I might well be interested in participating, if we can figure out the shared book acquisition issue. Friends back home formed a successful group where each participant might be reading a different book, but they met to share reviews, recommendations, and the books themselves -- another option.
