Just wanted to let everyone know not to respond to emails from jricky04@gmail.com. He sends spoof, non legit emails alleging to be from paypal. These are obviously fake if you are familiar with paypal but could fool someone who doesn't use paypal much. I guess he could and probably does use a number of email addresses. Actually, they are quite poor attempts and I know he will be reading this. Just a reminder to everyone who sells on the forum to be vigilant.

There seem to be quite a few email scams supposedly from Paypal, so BEWARE as the ones I have had are very well camouflaged!

And there seems to be a spate of e mails from banks and building societies warning me that someone is having a go at my account and for me to verify my details. Like heck I will - especially as I do not have accounts withmost of them! But beware. don't know if it is identity theft, or a virus. But either way, don't touch. The best thing to do is contact the organisation concerned and send it on to them as phishing. Most organisations have a special e mail address for this and it can be found on the appropriate web page. No doubt Pay Pal have a similar system.

Yes, Marion, we've had a few of those, but luckily they came though as spam so I didn't open them as like you they were from banks that we didn't have an account with.

Hughie - could it be that a spammer/phisher has got hold of his email address.

Hope you and Hen are well

You can always send the email to Paypal & they will tell you if it is genuine (spoof@paypal.com ). I have had emails from Paypal that they verified did come from them.
