Just come back from UK with Monarch, strict. Came back with them close to school hols in UK, the number of Greek students trying it on with hand luggage. Got to flight gate and the scales and size meters were waiting for them. Took loads of bags off them, charged the 50 quid each and put them in the hold. Also last time we came back (last week) offered to put our hand cases in the main hold for free at check at Manchester.

Laptop

Most airlines will allow the machine not to be in your Cabin Baggage weight allowance BUT NOT cables, power supplies etc So pack the peripheral bits and pieces in your cabin or hold baggage but expect them to cost part of your weight allowance.

Pack your laptop inside your hand luggage bag, or your hand bag as i do, then just take it out when needed.
