The best pizza for price and quality is at Buon Giorno's in Alsancak on the left hand side of the road and just before Starling supermarket which is on the right. Very good for take aways.

If you want to sit down in a nice restaurant ManiPeni's is one of the best. Their menu is varied with steaks, pasta and pizza.

There is only one place for Pizza, Mannipenni, the others are 2nd division. They are the only place with a Italian gas turbine Pizza oven, do i need to say any more ?

Manipenni - absolutely delicious!!!!!!!

A refreshing change from the deep pan cheap-cheese-fest pizzas that everywhere else makes. Not the cheapest but worth paying for.

I would always say Mannipennis but can someone tell me where Mama Mia's is located and I will give it a try. If it's good will use it (hoping it's nearer to us than Mannipennis) - we are in Karsiyaka

Would recommend both Mama Mia's and Manipeni as have had pizzas from both. Have to say I do like Manipeni as on top of serving pizza they serve side orders of Buffalo wings, Cheese Nachos etc and do typical American food and all other types of food. Food is always served hot and the service is very good. Service is very good. They are very child friendly too as we have been in with our grandchildren (4 years, 3 years and 1 year) and they do look after them.

One of the most unusual pizza topping I had (my daughter loved them) was mozzarella and honey!!!! Peanuts in Girne used to do them but seem to have taken them off the menu.

I agree with a prebvious poster that Pizzaland in Karakum is good - but I am now very tempted to try Mannipenis based on the feedback seen on this string....

Was looking forward to going to Manypenis(Joke- I couldn't help it) -but just read that it was child friendly-put me right off, trying to enjoy a meal whilst others offspring are running around screaming has ruined many a night out for me.

Going out later doesn't seem to work either- been in restaurants at 11pm and had to endure the fruit of loving parents loins ruin everyone's night out (apart from theirs) whilst they look on blissfully unaware smiling .

PhilUK, I would say that Manipeni's isn't a restaurant where you would go for a nice quiet meal. For that, I would choose somewhere like Erols, who do the best steaks I have ever tasted on the island. Manipeni's is more like a fast food restaurant where lots of Turkish Cypriots take their children on an evening, as in North Cyprus this is the norm (families all eating together).
