Cats are survivors, they'll get food somehow. there's plenty of wildlife here to survive on but she'll soon find someone to feed her I'm sure. I note that you say you would prefer to have her put down, not sure the cat would agree!!!!! I think she deserves a chance for a new life. I hear that you have to leave, but I still get upset when I hear this kind of thing, sorry.

Take heart dailoukat, about six weeks ago I was given two 6 month old cats that had been 'indoor' cats from birth. They were a bit confused at first when the dog would n't let them in the house but they have taken to the great out doors with zest and are perfectly content. I think that being an 'outdoor' cat is a far better option than being an 'ex cat'.

If there is plenty of wildlife for cats to eat, then why are there so many skinny, dirty, unhealthy looking cats about. Message 1, I understand, I think it is crueler to put an animal on the street, to leave it to try and fend for itself, especially if it has led a pampered life. Do what you feel is right, and what you can live with, not what other people tell you to do.

Hello - sorry to hear you havent found a home for your kitten! We put a leaflet up in the Supreme supermarket in Catalkoy and received two enquiries and were lucky enough to home our little kitten. I had to send a message today to tell the other person, that the cat had gone. If you send me an e-mail i still have the mans telephone number, in the Catalkoy area, although i didnt actually meet him, he did ring up twice. I dont know if this will be of help to you.

i do feel for you - yes cats are survivors but they need that friendly person to put out their basic needs, for the last five years we have had up to 20 cats outside our house but they keep clean and hunt as their basic hunger is met by us. Is there a person who will feed her for you on a daily basis if you give them a monthly allowance. This worked for my father. Lily now six spent two years living wild but now in the UK and Tiger is still here only being a youngster when they had to leave. I receive x amount a month and take the cat food up to a lady who lives in the village and see him everytime i am up at their house. Try and find those trustworthy people and you could be onto a winner.

I'm afraid people humanise their animals, something I'm guilty of myself. I still think it's selfish to play God and have a healthy animal put down. Animals are outdoor creatures and will adapt, cats especially. I can understand how euthanising an animal tidies things up and spares a certain amount of conscience but my own opinion, and it is just my opinion, is that it's misguided.

If anyone can give Lou Lou a home, please do. I met her this morning and she's gorgeous! I would take her myself before anyone asks but my dogs would probably eat her!
