We need to change a lock at the entrance door.

Can anyone recommend a carpenter or someone who has a selection of locks and may install it.

Any ideas on price.

Thank you for advice.

If this is for security rather than decoration you only need to change the barrel of the lock which is very easy to do and requires no carpentry skills. You can remove the barrel by unscrewing a bolt about 2/3rds down the side plate - the barrel then simply pulls out although you may need to give the key a 1/4 turn to release it. Take the removed barrel to Marshalls or a similar yapi market and get a replacement.

Agree with Jovial John, only 18-23tl in Marshalls for lock takes only 5 minutes to change.

In any way.. dont go for "the cheap stuff". During 20 years... I made good experience with "KALE" locks. A lot of rubbish on the market.
