So did I! (Because of too many free loaders)... And they hadnt held on at the Dome for a couple or more years.

I thought the Chrismas do in the park last Sat. replaced it.

Where did you get the info Biggles? No one that I know knows anything about the gathering, and I think Bizzi Lizzi is correct. The 'do;' in the park was supposedto be it, in fact it was even reported in the Turkish press that the park was the scene of the 'cocktail'. So wrong info all round.

If anyone knows differentlyh I would love to hear, and in particular what time.

But of course it must be extremely difficult (assuming he is back from Germany) to accommodate all the yabanci that are now here.

so what does anyone know! I have heard nothing.

I also believed that last Saturday's 'event' was meant t replace the Christmas drinks party. Hence I said that I thought the parties stopped a couple of years ago (due to free loaders). The last one we attended was actually at the Malpas. However, I was put firmly in my place this week by a Brit who said, no, there will be a party on Saturday at the Dome,

Blessyou Hippo! I wish I knew everything, and I have asked around and was told firmly today by a lady who knows far more than I do, aand she said 'it was cancelled a couple of years back' , which is what I thought was the case. so, Biggles, seems you have been misinformed. Shame, but I guess there were a few too man y yabanci with a few too many plastic bags to make it a financially viable option.

Everything changes, but I do miss that particular 'do'. They used to be a good way of meeting folk annd sharing a bit of cordiality!

so, as I can't do it there, let me wish you all a Happy Christmas - sorry I can't give you all a drink!
