That's why British Airways is struggling, the prices on that page aren't a bargain by many airlines standards. Try a comparison site and check the alternatives! here's 2 of the best to start with .....

Andy R, I looked up a BA flight from London to Istanbul, single. BA is quoting me £148, including free food and drinks. The flight dep. 16:45 arr. 22:10. That's including 23kg baggage and all taxes. You'd expect SleasyJet to beat this but they're £168 before the usual extras. I'm afraid I don't agree completely with your "the prices on that page aren't a bargain." I think that in my case SuperSnooper has helped find me a bargain.

Fair comment, perhaps I should've phrased my response differently .....

If you take a few minutes and shop around the bargain prices quoted by many airlines such as British Airways are often more expensive than other (frequently budget) airlines.

in message #4, the date I looked up was 28th December 2011 and £148 for 5 days time seemed particularly good.

Erkin, momondo's THY cheap flights arrive at 4:20am but they do pick up the BA flight for the same price as above http://www.momondo.com/flights/?search=true&O=LON&D=IST&DD=28-12-2011

Supersnooper - thanks for the top tip. Have just booked a great value BA break to Marrakesh after our Xmas break in UK (and a tad warmer than Girne at the moment!).

Ditto,

We have booked BA to Heathrow for peak period next summer, with 23K baggage each plus laptops plus a meal plus cabin baggage plus chosen seats for £100 less than Easyjet, and flights at sensible hours.

Thank you for your posting message #1, contrary to message #2 I find the prices are a bargain. - For my needs.

Merry Christmas
