Just curious.

I'd say we try to get out at least twice a week in and around Kyrenia, whether it be for a kebab or something slightly fancier.

Have finally reached the point where I will not go out to eat in restaurants in TRNC any more. Not because I'm tight fisted, but because they just do not produce value for money. You cannot replace quality with quantity, nor can you cover it up with loud music, be it Karaoke or someone doing a cover version of Engelbert Humpedink. After many years of crossing ever more restaurants off the list. Or should I say adding them to the list of "Never to go back to", I've decided to give them all a miss. I am not a trained cook, I am not a barkeepr or waiter, nor am I a snob when it comes to eating out, but I object to poor or indifferent food, crap service and the couldn't care less attitudes of most of the establishments I have had the misfortune to visit. I could do a list in order of crappiness, the list of places to recommend is easier. (It's empty) . Like the list of honest builders and trustwothy estate agents.

Back to the top - can we keep this positive please. If I wanted to know how many people are dissatisfied with the quality of restaurants here, I would have asked.

Thanks.

We probably eat out 3-4 times a week on average spread between lunch and dinner. Very rarely have poor or indifferent food but then we do tend to favour local food.

3 - 4 times a week, sometimes more. Hate cooking and love eating out

I eat at a restaurant every night! MY KITCHEN is my favorite restaurant - I am yet to catch up with Jashan and The Dragon, but otherwise the food is much better than at any restaurant, a lot cheaper and a great service too

Jeez..., how bored are members of this board (advertising it as : "I'm just curious".) to ask "How often in a week do you go out to a restaurant?".

▶ What do you bl**dy care..?! What's your point..?! Can we expect the result of your survey..?! And then what..?!

I think it's a fair question. Why shouldn't it be asked? I have to agree with Robinhood to a fair extent. When we are over on our extended stays, we now tend to eat at home. Why? For the same reasons as Robinhood mentions; poor/ indifferent service, poor value for money, atmosphere etc. We do enjoy eating at some restaurants and have given them good review on this forum so they are not all like that. I feel a second class citizen at some places when TC's have come in.

@ msg 22, Hector: You are replying to a question that was'nt asked in the post (msg 1) - only in the title was a question asked. But poster ozwozz86 wasn't asking whether you tend to eat at home etc, etc. So: off topic.

Yet another inconsiderate, spiteful response, but then what else should I expect from you?
