@ msg 1: Sorry, on my computer, iPad and iPhone: the worst chaos I've seen in my life. And you can smoke a cigarette and have two coffees before the home page finally loads. Check again.

Maybe you guys both switch to a more decent Internet connection

Multimedia rich content is becoming norm and this is a good example, and of course it can be optimized and can be made more compatible with more systems, but it is a new venture and we should criticize positively so we can contribute in the right direction.

I for one have seen many of such websites, and no matter the design choice, keeping the content up to date has always been real challenge. So I like to wait and see how this one will fare on that aspect...

I thought it was well done loaded fast enough with really beautiful content, English or Turkish language, as Kemal said have to wait and see if they keep the content up to date, if not then that's when people lose interest. but overall looking very nice.

@ msg 4, kbasat: interesting post (and you have been a good informer about your specialty), but this time you're wrong imo. A new web site (advertising itself) should at least open up in a decent time - because it's ALL ABOUT content. Never mind norms or systems. Or do you think the millions of users in this world are on the same speed as you are..?

@DC, my opinion has been proven right over and over in the course of internet evolution.

10 years ago, a website would be page(s) of text with little or no pictures, obviously with no animations of any sort.

Then came the flash, at that time, some people considered it a taboo because it would be too slow for the internet of the time. But guess what, internet speeds have evolved and sites that relied heavily on these technologies turned to be billion dollar ventures (can you spell youtube).

Today, there are many opportunities with a faster internet connection, video streaming, web based multimedia games, web based applications, online file storage space is just a few of them. People do not develop these features thinking of the slow minority.

When there are lions, the whole herd runs away from them, they do not just slow down and run at the speed of the slowest one of the animals, those ones are expected to catch up or be eaten!

As an SEO specialist - I agree with DC. BTW, that was a constructive criticism. The idea is good, but those of us who have done years of research into "visitor" behaviour, have discovered that not everyone has an ultra fast, expensive processor(s) on their PC, not everyone uses the same system, browser or screen size etc. etc. So,, one has to take into consideration all these factors when constructing a web site (professionally). Most importantly, great majority of people would not not wait too long before giving up the site and moving on to something else!

If I remember correctly, the average waiting time for visitors used to between 5-10 seconds, with red line close to 10 secs. plus. Meaning, hardly anyone stayed on soon after the seconds start ticking away from 10 secs. If I remember correctly, that applied during the years 2005-2010, but I stand to be corrected on the actual figures. The fact remains, "home page" MUST open reasonably fast to avoid loss of potential visitors

Nice web site, was a bit slow but not pain fully so. Good to see something that will be of interest to the younger people into the 'Clubbing Scene', well done.

@ msg 9, bigOz: I have nothing to add to your post - I couldn't agree more.

PLUS.

I live in TRNC and have to deal with the available TRNC infrastructure (which by the way is only a weak shadow of the 100% glass fibre structure in Holland - but I'm not complaining: I have chosen to live here).

@ kbasat: In the past ca 10 years of my residency in TRNC I've heard too many stories about great Internet speed - all failures, all words, all humbug. I believe that you are doing it better when you are still around in 2013.

P.S. Again: you are more open (informing) to your customers than I've seen before in TRNC - and I've 'enjoyed' the services of three local 'providers' now.

Loaded O.K, but couldn't take the noise, so turned off. Yes i know I can turn down my speakers, but it would also appear that the what's On is more for younger folk than I. Hope it does well with those to whom it appeals.
