I have an I-pad and would like to fit a local 3G sim card pay as you go or 30 day prepaid.



Do any of the local telephone companys supply the micro sim cards or would I have to cut down a full size sim?

if you go into the Turkcell shop in Girne (opp beleiydere), they will do it for you.

@ msg 3, mark&beck: Yes, the sim card needs to be clipped - it can (free) also be done at the Turkcell shop near the big roundabout in Girne. They can also add 3G (if you want to have an Internet connection when you are not in a WiFi area) to the sim there.

one final question will the 3G sim card in my computer turkcell dongle work?

Beware of the cutter, I had mine regular size UK and Turkcell cards cut down in the UK and they did not fit the iphone/ipad. Better to get Turkcell to do it for you.

@ msg 7: Plus: if Turkcell ruins the sim (it happens sometimes while clipping the sim...), you'll get a new sim with your mob number for free!
