Did or do you order electronic articles like an iPhone or iPad in the UK (on line)? If so where? And are the goods delivered in the UK or in TRNC? Anyone tried Simply Electronics? Good and bad reviews are welcome!

I have used simply electronics quite a few times over the years with delivery to a UK address. Never had a problem with them but then never had to send anything back for being faulty either, which is the real test of an online supplier I think. The site I have used most over many years for the bulk of my purchases of PC stuff is overclockers.co.uk I have used them countless times over many years now, with delivery in both the UK and to the RoC (for collection from DHL depot in strovolos) and not had any problems either. I have also used amazon (with amazon as the retailier) in the past again for delivery in UK and delivery to RoC po box. Had a panasonic bread maker from amazon, sent Deuthchse post to RoC po box, all was fine, deliver cost was minimal around 6 euros I think.

I use Amazon with Amazon delivering and all has been fine. Some items I have to collect from Famagusta Post Office, small things like an electrical tester or books come all the way to Dipkarpaz. The only problem has been the order from an Amazon retailer - a leaf blower/hoover. Still waiting for it after two month. They have sent it a second time, but it seems to have gone down a black hole and I have just asked for my money back. At least buying through Amazon you know you will get refunded.

dippersgirl, Is that correct that anything you order from Amazon that goes astray is covered by a money back guarantee?. I need a submersible pump and have a PO box, but was worried it would just go astray and that would be the end of things. Sorry to hijack your thread Dutchcrusader. Stu.

Hi Erolz, I have ordered from Amazon but they will not deliver electrical items to TRNC, you say "for collection from DHL depot in strovolos" have you used Amazon to DHL ? If so can you supply address details and how this works ?

tonykyte where amazon (.co.uk ) will deliver to varys from item to item. Some will only ship to UK and some items will ship to mainland EU and some to all EU. Looking back at my amazon.co.uk order history, I didnt actual order anything in 2011, but in 2010 I ordered this and they sent it to PO Box in the South http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B000PP6WDY the retailer being express pro (not amazon itself) sent by royal mail 7.98 pounds postage. And this http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B003DNRTDM the retailer being amazon itself this time and sent via Deutsche Post DHL 6.27 postage. The charger was simpler, it just got put into the PO box. The breadmaker was a bit more complicated and I had to collect it from the counter at the post office in the south where the PO box was, because it was too big to fit into the box itself I guess. They left a card in the box saying collect it from the counter if memory serves correctly.

I always check Ebay UK. It isn't just an auction site. Amazon advertise on there. I paid £64 last week on this saite for the full 60 dvd collection of X files. Delivered to my UK address to be brought over by my granddaughter this weekend. Many others advertise on ebay, including a company that searches for the best value for anything you want. I've never tried getting anything delivered here. T
