Why is there no Eastenders?

I was wondering if anyone knows why BBC entertainment hasn't showed Eastenders for the past two nights after new year ??

It has - but it is now much earlier - like 7 ish. Check with digiturk on line as there is little other way to find out. It was announced before Christmas. It is now Eastenders followed by Doctors and then Holby city etc, all finishing at 9p.m.



so it is still there, but a good couple of hours earlier.



If you missed it - what can I tell you?

O.k. Cyprus Joker. So some of us are from the Wild West and there is no TV programme about us. Perhaps we should write our own soap. come to that, we could do with an Eastenders soap out to Tatlisu.

glad you caught up Yeliz, but please teatime let us wait for the Christmas story. I have heard rumours, but realise we are three week;'s behind. Mind you a friend of mine watches it via some technology I don't have, but I am happy to look at 'history'.

The News Year Resolution by the BBC has been to raise the IQ of Cypriot-Brits in 2012 ..therefore no soaps or reality programmes throughout January ...doesn't seem to be working!

I bought the Star this week as no Cyprus Today, but they have BBC Prime/Entertainment all wrong. Think they just copied the times of last weeks programmes, so you have to go on to the menu on Digiturk to get the correct times.

Yes, message 13 - i had a moan about that to the office, and had to do what you suggested. I hpe they get it right this week! if not,l I will have another moan. But I have to admit the poor souls are under pressure with staff shortages. But as I said, I would rather have no information than wrong! Mind you, tonight BBC entertainment seemed to have wrong info that completely misled me. Maybe I fell asleep, but it seemed they were an hour out!

Still it makes it exciting. A bit like an adventure tour!

Yes Marion you're right, it took me a few minutes to sus out that they were on CET (central European Time) and everything was an hour out.

Since January the 2nd, Eastenders is on at 18.10 CET therefor at 7.10pm here. Then doctors is on AFTER Eastenders and Holby City/Casualty after that. Then there is an hours comedy and then it changes. :D

I think you will find that it is on at 16.10 (due to time difference) very early, then repeated later at around midnight.

Eastenders/Emmerdale/Corrie et al. Partly responsible - along with much of the other drivel on TV - for many of the problems we are facing in the society ( which didn't exist under Thatcher) but which is now " big" under "son of Thatcher"
