Does anyone know of any sports here for adult (ladies) to play, not during the day time. There really does seem to be a lack of activity here.

All there seems to be is Pool, Darts, snooker nothing energetic.

In England women could do most sport, Boxing, Boxercise, Basketball, Netball, Hockey, but there does not seem to be anything here.

an anyone advise me of a group?

Unless you are a student the options are limited to golf, tennis and badminton. If you wanted to start up some netball, I'd be interested.

I am looking to start an adult field hockey team in the north in the new year. it will be a 'first' i believe, and can be a mixed, mens or ladies side, depending on interest, but fixtures will be limited and in the south. i have already formed a very good school team here. i will need to get sticks and gk equipment from the uk, either from my club or via donations, and also find a suitable training venue, but i am on the case and will post here with updates.

Once you have a fully fledged and commited team of sports people, then the issue of who to play becomes an issue.

Even sporting teams and events are affected by embargoe.

When people decide such matters, people having fun, keeping fit and being competative are not regarded as a means to progression and appeasement.

Very much a localised playing field therefore and to be frank, just not hockey.

Potential on a more international scale, an online xbox or wii competition perhaps and should you win and be handed a gold medal, raise your flag and play your national anthem.

In the meantime stay glued to the skysports and consider all the missed opportunities that have been enforced on potential gifted individuals.
