I would like to know where the best Turkish breakfast is served in and around the Girne area. Had some amazing ones in Istanbul.

Lemtich: "Where is the Red Lion in Alsancak?"

Round the corner from the Rose and Crown frequented by the beer-bellied, tattooed, inappropriatedly dressed expats. And their husbands.

The Red Lion was Rita at the bamboo then Hensons, just behind the Dostler.

An interesting breakfast comparison is the 'Walpole Cafe' in W London.

2 Rashers back bacon.

1 Large sausage.

2 free range fried eggs.

Baked Beans (Heinz).

Tomatoes.

2 rounds toast & butter. (Marmite/Marmalade 10p extra)

Mug of tea or coffee (Nescafe! none of your designer rubbish!).

Proper bottles of Heinz Tomato Ketchup & HP Brown Sauce on tables.

All for £3.95.

For £4.95, all the above + black pudding, mushrooms and bubble & squeak with free drink top-ups.

Oh!... and the 'fit birds' are very friendly Polish!

No wonder some are returning to old Blighty!
