Does anyone know where I can find a shop selling flueless or balanced flue gas fires? And where I can find out more info about them. If no one knows of anywhere over here then what about the south?

Check out this attatchment following installation the appliance would need to be regulary serviced by a competant Gas Engineer using a Combustion Performance Analyser. http://www.diynot.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=102202

Brought our Burley over from the UK at half the price quoted in the shops here, and got the tax back ! Very efficient and reasonable to run.

My ex was a uk CORGI engineer so no need to worry on that side as all fires have built in oxysafe pilots which automatically shut the fire down if a unsafe situation occurs

Mess 7 Corgi was replaced by Gas Safe April 2009. I am a Gas safe Registered Gas Compliance Officer in the UK. (Soon to move to NC) I have had to visit many properties following reports of residents showing affects of Carbon Monoxide due to poorly fitted and in more circumstances poorly maintained Flueless Gas Fires. The need for a competant engineer who has a suitably calibrated Combustion Performance Analyser to carry out the manufacturers full service specification. If you check Burley manufacturers instructions this is a requirement. A suitably calibrated Combustion Performance Analyser in the TRNC I think not.
