Hi No1 - I was a brownie. The institution in the UK is closely linked to the church, so not sure about in Cyprus or Turkey. Don't know if there is an equivalent, I'm sure someone will let us know. ltd

Doyen, I did loads of it mostly around the countryside of Hampshire.. I still have vivid memories of the frosty fields, the plumes of breath on the early morning air and the smell of unwashed youth tramping with heavilly loaded karrimors. Racing across soggy grasslands. aimlessly (my fault - a fool with a map and a compass) trying to find a route to camp with its promise of some hot tea in giant enamelled mugs.. Ah the happy days of youth. Spent most of it curled up in laughter at how daft we all were...

I was also in the ATC for a while, enjoyed the shooting but not much else.. they seemed obsessed with marching skills which I found tedious in the extreme... I knew how to walk, did I want to walk like a prannet... err no! I didn't like the ATC leader he was a total egomaniac and I think a bit of a sadist...
