There are 2 shops that I know - both Cartridge Island. One is just past the army camp on the left as you head towards Lapta and the other (the larger one) is on the right as you head out past the hospital towards Catalkoy - about 100 metres before the right turn that leads to the Bellapais traffic lights.

John of Cartridge Island says that on average a refilled cartridge is about 60% cheaper than a new one.

Look up the internet price and compare. It's definately not 60% cheaper for my HP carts from these shops.

I took two cartridges for my HP to the one near the army camp. "Refills from 10tl" the sign outside said.

He wanted 75tl to fill both. I bought 2 genuine HP cartridges at Deniz Plaza for 127tl. About 40% cheaper but not as good as the originals, imo, though the guy did say that the refills were "fuller".

Message 6 If we cuold get internet deliveries here everything would be much cheaper.

Refills from the two shops mentioned are the best option if you live here.

Hey everyone lets clear up the confusion regarding savings. Generally it is stated that refills can save you UP TO 60% against the cost of an original cartridge. UP TO in some cases this is the saving others may be 50% depending on the OEM price. Now if you chase all over the internet you will find cartridges, as well as all other items, at all sorts of prices.

If you are compering prices then at least compere like for like.

I am sorry if message owners here commenting feel that we have not provided the service to them but there are plenty who have found that if there is anything wrong that they can come to us and we can offer a satisfactory solution. If you don't come back to us how can we correct the situation.

As to refills from any price it is no good compereing a cartridge that takes only 2ml of ink which is refilled to one taking 20+ ml of ink, would offer that product at the same price.

THANK YOU to ALL who have past on these useful comments about this matter, see yo

Here at Cartridge Island we are trying to provide a service to you the printer user. By recycling cartridges you have a greater chance of using refilled cartridges as your printer remembers the cartridges you have used in it. We use the same inks as the OEM's and try and ensure the product meets with your satisfaction.

If you want to know about the recycle process call in and ask, see a demonstration to see the care taken in trying to cut the cost of your printing.

Cheap refills are available, Istanbul 5TL plus cost of transport!!!!!!

At the end of the day the decision is yours, we are local, we care, we provide a service, we listen and try to find a working solution for YOU.

Do you stock Lexmark 100 cartridges? How much are they please? Or, how much to refill.

I am sorry but at the moment we do not have any stock of proven chips required to refill the Lexmark100 cartridges. We have the means, the inks but sadly not the chips at the moment. Sorry for letting you down. John

Mike (msg13) I couldn't agree more with that comment and the fact that they made refillable cartridges but then made it hard to buy them!

Lexmark have always been the same. Epson have made it hard for Epson users with their new range of cartridges forcing customers down a limited supply route of cartridges, older Epson should be OK.

Brothers have a head blockage problem that has just been admitted by Brother, Kodak have print head issues and awkward compatible issues(mainly supply) but then people are finding out that perhaps they are not as cheap as advertised and so it goes on mixed up with HP software update issues and you can see it isn't as straight forward as people believe. Hp are the main culprits here along with changing colour sequence in their cartridges, checking the date of your cartridge and restricting your use of what you own.

These are known facts and are unbiased. The downside of the refill system is that there are some cartridges that ink levels aren't show

John,in Uk always a problem with compats and refills.Epson tried to put a chip in printers to eliminate compats.

Lexmark, always the "nigger in the woodpile"!!!Flogged their printers thro'High Street stores, then YOU got the blame for YOUR high prices.

To be honest,I only stocked originals,.compats to order only.Refills..Yok !!

But I could get supplies by 0800 next day.

If only in TRNC....I would start again

The price of my HP XL cartdridges from the cheapest source mail order UK was £38. Cartridge Island refilled my old Jetec cases at 46% of the UK price.

Sharp Knif your comment is very much appreciated. All we wish do do is provide alternative options to all of the people and businesses in TRNC.

I would love to bring in as many compatibles as possible but for that we need more of the support that we have been getting and for that we are grateful because we need to move away from 'ORIGINALS' only syndrome.
