I have no problem paying for what you are worth. Serious student looking for COMPETENT instructor. One who can teach techinque, mucianship, and has technical expertise. I am looking beyond the Mickey Mouse, "tell me what song you want to play and I can teach you." Flea, of the RHCP, is 50 and I aspire to be as awesome as he. If you possess these skills, then email minspin14@yahoo.com post-haste.

You could do worse than to contact Keith Bradbury. I don't have his number to hand but I am sure someone on here can get it to you. Keith has been playing professionally for a lot of years now in Cyprus and the UK. He used to give guitar lessons at one time.

Thanks Sal. Joe is too busy to personally commit and he is also helping me to find a tutor. I hope you and your family have a good new year.

Molly ! Going straight "to the point" as your post ! Firstly it is wise for you to establish whether or not you have any form of "natural" talent which will establish your level of tuition. This is not meant as a critisism. As you say in your initial post ! Any " worthy instructor" would have to establish this. I am fortunate to have played with some great bass players (Terry Gregory I.C.M.P London google the website and Andy Pask (Landscape and composer of "the bill" theme tune by default) not forgetting our own Tony Jones here in TRNC and there certainly is a massive skill to playing REAL bass guitar. Before "paying what you are worth" please establish first whether or not you feel the expenditure is justified. However, you will always be welcome to the Monday workshop which could give you some insight to the way forward ! Kind regards Barry

You could give Ed Sezner a try. He gives guitar lessons and is excellent on the bass.

Snakes, thank you for the advice and the invite to your workshop. For now though, I am looking for one-on-one instruction rather than a group setting. I am sure we will meet up one day though. I have an assessment on Saturday so I will see how that goes first. Thanks again.

Thanks to other posters as well.
