Just been on the news that a woman, whose dog has been dead for 4 years, has had it cloaned twice.

What ate the feelings of the forum members about this ?

Would you have a animal or even a deceased loved one cloaned or do you think this is a step too far.

I always think it would be a nice gesture to have a dead pet stuffed, and attach wheels to each paw, and a peice of wire inn the tail, that way the kids can still play with it.

Sundance,

If we left everything to nature,it wouldnt take long for the worlds population to disappear, there cannot be many people that do not take some sort of medicine, which is interfering with nature??

If i could bring back my dog Chan even if it were a clone i would.

With my other dog Hugo who died last year, he had many health issues and i wouldn't wish any dog to have to go throught what he did. So even though i loved him very much the answer to him would be no.

The one question i have, and have had it for as long as i've known about cloning, is...even if you clone the perfect animal/human etc....would they also have the same personality? As far as i can tell..personalities have been nurtured from not only the family environment, but by the 'time' of their conception...and where the stars were placed at that exact time...we all recognise the certain traits our astrological signs dictate...so...should all this be taken into account too?

Who was the first person to try cloning on a large scale?
