Internet banking with TEB

Hi

We have just bought a house in north cyprus & opened a TEB bank account ready to start paying solicitors etc. I want to do internet banking but the banks web site tells me I need to register & gives a phonebank number. I have tried dialling this number from UK using the international code but no joy I have tried just dialling the number but just get someone in UK who is positive he is not a turkish bank.Does anyone else bank with them & can you help

I'm not exactly sure of her phone number so best to email her.



Have to say I'm not particularly impressed by their online banking, you can't do much more than view your accounts. It may look as though you can but once you try to do foreign exchange, close accounts, transfer between accounts, etc. you get nowhere, in my experience.



HSBC bank may be a complete pain to visit but their internet banking is far superior to any other bank I've used in TRNC.

Just remember it is a national holiday out here and the banks were closed from Monday until today and should be open tomorrow (12th Dec)

The TEB phone no is 009 0392 8158510 the answer phone is all in Turkish but if you press 3 after the greeting you will go through to Eve's desk.

Hi,

Indeed you can do any kind of transaction by using TEB online banking except cash transactions.If your deposit account has been opened by the branch you can't close it via online banking unfortunately but if you open such an account yourself by using internet banking, you can close it as well. (But pls keep in mind if the amount is high we recommend you to do it by branch to upgrade the interest rate) When you pop in the bank sometime we can go through for it together if you think it's gonna be helpful.
