TheatreLambousa's next production is "The Karpaz Catastrophe" to be shown on Saturday November 24th at 7.00 pm.



This Murder Mystery takes place in a small hotel in the Karpaz during the winter season. Following a severe thunderstorm the manageress takes an early morning walk and discovers a body washed up on the beach. Was foul-play involved? And what secrets are the members of the cast hiding? Mrs Hilton, (the hotel manageress), Mrs May Bella Gray, (the newly wed), Miss Marple (the turtle expert) and Mr Peregrine Mason (the scuba diving instructor) all have chequered pasts, but do they involve murder? That is for you to identify. To help you we have a new Detective Inspector with Sabena Coulter playing DI "don't call me Sherlock" Holmes. Already a seasoned professional sleuth, modelled on the lines of DI Jane Tennison (alias Helen Mirren), will she be able to uphold the excellence of former DI Code?



The play, written by a local writer, has the usual twist in the tail. Will it catch you unawares? We are also delighted to welcome Jan Marsh as our new director. An experienced director from the UK, she is bringing renewed energy and excitement to the production, and is ensuring an improvement in voice projection. (Some of you raised concerns about this in returned questionnaires.)



The Karpaz Catastrophe will be performed in the Barons’ Room at the Chateau Lambousa, Lapta on Saturday November 24th, 6.30 for Curtains up at 7.00.



Tickets are 45TL and include dinner, coffee and brandy. Main course choices are: Lamb "tandir" in Oven, Chicken a la Celebrity and Vegetarian Lasagne.
