Actually Sue it does not matter what your blood group is if you go and donate, tell the hospital who the blood is for they will give their stocks to Judy for the blood you give (any group)

If you don't know your blood group and are willing to donate a unit, go along anyway the blood will be used and you will know your blood group then for future reference. You never know it could be you next needing blood so be prepared by knowing what group you are.

I heard that if you were a blood donor then you would be able to receive blood if needed without donors having to go and donate.



Is this true? If so then although seeming a little altruistic then it is another good reason to be a donor.



Although giving blood to assist another human being to regain health is a privilege in my opinion.

Msg 8 - Chris we had several AB neg come to the donor day and then we had a call for someone else for AB neg blood, which has exhausted all eight of our registered AB neg donors. If anyone who is donating for Judy wishes to go on our donor list for future reference, please email me your details to clairemorley@hotmail.com



Msg 24 - the blood bank have told us that people that do donate at the donor days are not required to raise the number of unit they need if they need blood - and yes as you say, an additional incentive to be a donor.

Miss Judy is so well known within the community I felt no need to put any more information on the lady. She has been on the island for 30 years and lives in Karmi, has been a teacher on the island for many of these years and now owns her own school, known to so many people just as Miss Judy.



Hope this clears up the confusion

Put please when an urgent posting like this happens can we keep the posting clear for all to understand.



who keeps the blood data base that have a list of people to contact please thanks. Maybe if they were to post this number straight away from the onset things could work a little faster. JMHO. And a number of a family member for us to call and fiend out if more is needed.



Its so nice that we are able use Chriss but is she able to hold the blood donation contact list of memebrs willing to donate ? She dose a grand job. But something tell me some one somewhere needs to het this right.and for us to understand the yright way to go about things.



This could save someone's life. JMHO. and like I have already said I so hope all had gone well on the matter. good luck.

Oh and just to say too that my blood group is O.Neg. So it must be on the data base. I did not have a call they have my number from when Han's did the list.

BoBoBear, I apologise wholeheartedly for my ignorance. I have not been a member long after purchasing an apartment in Tatlisu. When there was a request in December for blood there was a lot of information posted and as we were coming over I would have donated as I am a regular "O" neg donor.
