No birdman, "they're" is correct, meaning "they are".

Should be an apostrophe though, not a semi colon.

minertor, birdman is correct. He is referring to their very popular roast chicken dish. The posting said " there very popular roast chicken".



Eats Shoots and Leaves is a gem of a book that covers aspects of punctuation, in particular the use of the apostrophe. The apostrophe of possession, the apostrophe of omission etc.



Interesting article in the press yesterday saying that a high percentage of children, in the UK, do not know how to correctly use there, their and they're. I found the children in my class always loved the old fashioned "grammar lessons" which I used as a pre-registration morning time filler.
