Just read that a school teacher has been sacked from their post because they told the class that Father Christmas did not exist,

Paul.

How sad that somebody felt they had to spoil the magic of Christmas for children. There is little enough at present to cheer anyone up so why not leave the children in their innocence, they'll find out soon enough about Santa, let them have a childhood for goodness sake.

They were 7 and some intelligent kids by that age are beginning to

question, and also hear talk of older kids, so I think what may have

happened is lot of noisy questioning of supply teacher (been there)

& she lost control of herself & just came out with the awful truth!

My 7 year old grandaughter told me last week that a girl's father in her

class didn't believe in God! Sometimes children know the reality but

keep up the pretence in case the pressies stop! Bless 'em
