Lou,

They were the Voltage Protection Relays, not voltage regulators but my policy is same for all my products. Thanks for the appreciation.

To be honest I would have preferred a private e.mail rather than this on an open forum, some may think that I asked you to do this.

Can I ask you a question about you Voltage Protection Units please.

Having had 'tripping' problems with the main RCBO in the consumer unit, this was removed and individual power circuit protection RCBO's were fitted.

As I read on previous postings, your unit works by tripping the main RCBO, is this correct? If I understand this correctly, would your unit still be suitable for me?

Aston,

I am not sure I understood your message correctly. You must have a main RCD (Residual Current Device) as the present jargon goes near your electric metre or on your main distribution board. Apart from this you may have other more sensitive RCDs on some circuits but this should not remedy your main problem.

My Elko Voltage Protection Relays will send a small current to earth when the voltage is outside set limits. This current will go through all the RCDs in its path and it may trip the one nearest to it or all of them in its path.

Ismet, please can i ask why your voltage protection relays are having to be replaced or reset ? it is obviously something to due with the recent power cuts.

I have one of these units and would like to know if it would be advisable to reset to a different limit whist over on my next visit.

My advice is to leave it at original setting but you can change it by following instructions on my web page.
