It's called !!! The Artist !!! it's a silent movie, and I think it will take all the awards for best picture, best actor, etc, I was spellbound by the performance of the actors. Not to be missed.

I saw the trailer think the idea is novel but I cant see silents catching on.. not for me anyway

only heard good reports about this film, been told that after the first five minutes you forget it is a silent film, going on Thursday.........

The most peaceful job I ever had was working within the deaf community. I can still do sign today.



I have not heard of this film but it sounds interesting. Even though it may not even have sign it must give us all an insight in the the silent world of the deaf community.

Just thought that when members post recommendation's to either good books or good films perhaps a link to the review would be of great help too. Just took a for it on youtube And watched it both with the volume turned down and again with the music one. Give a try interesting.

I agree that it is a must see movie - I have never seenone like it. It should get an award



When our daughter recommended that we see it I was not at all sure I would like it but I was wrong - you don't miss the speaking - very cleverly done.

Have just watched 'The Artist' and have to say, I wasn't sure it was for me, being B & W and no speaking, but really enjoyed it and found myself smiling to myself. My husband (Turkish) couldn't understand the concept, but hey ho.

You can buy it at the DVD shop in Alsancak.
