Morphou/Guzelyurt was going to go back to the Greeks under Annan. What's the betting that it will be on the new plan?

hi all.

this site has been confirmed as pre 74 turkish title by our builders and lawyers, we have this in writing , so as far as we are concerned there should not be a problem so we are looking on the bright side we think all people who have brought in the nc should be positive and be patient and wait for the good times which we feel are not to far away despite the credit crunch its just a case of hanging on as far as we are concerned.good luck to us all . maybe one day we can all meet up and have one hell off a party!!!!.

cheers gazza becky dave &angie

hi all

just to reply to gazza how far back have you had your lawyers confirm the pre 74 turkish title?as far as we are aware it gos back to 1954 turkish title ,and was told that it was safe title and would be recognized in the european courts off law,and also any title that predates 1964 was a safe option

Actually while Guzelyurt was going to the Greeks under the Annan plan, the coastal strip and particularly Gaziveren was to remain Turkish.

By the way, we keep hearing from the Greek side that the Annan plan is dead.

gazza

have you checked this with the roc land office?

if not , do so you have nothing to fear going there if your title is pre 74 turkish!

Hi All

I have a copy of the turkish tittle deed. It has been with the same TC family since the fifties until the land was sold to EG. I have bought as an investment and to be fair it was clearly pointed out there was a possibility it would go back under GC control as part of any settlement

As an investor I dont have a major issue with this as the price will rocket

hi linus

i hope you don't have the same problems as us if you are looking to sell in the north , in the south at the moment nothing is selling as the British economy effects the south for resales ,until things improves and that could be some time ,

Hi Irish

We are not looking to sell in the short term anyway. Hang on in there until things pick up which they will and if there is reunification of th Island it will have been well worth waiting for

Hi Irish

I said I would let you know about furniture. We have bought from Olgun furniture in Karakum just outside Girne. Quality stuff and reasonably priced.Very friendly people. What date are you across in March?. I am across on the 7th for a week. if you are there same time it would be good to say hello. The site is coming on well. I hope it is almost complete by March

Regards

Linus

Hi Irish

I met with Evergreen while I was there and they advised around 6 weeks for the installation of the electricity/water metres. They said they are really pushing to get the site completed in the next month. Realistically I think you will be looking at March at the earliest for completion. They are not sure whether they are giving the maintenance contract to a company or not yet as they are considering doing it themselves.

Hi Irish

I am not paying my VAT and connection charges and final payment until the development is complete as agreed in my contract. The VAT should be paid when the keys are handed over. I know some people have paid earlier because they wanted the keys to their apt
