Please help

My son is arriving into Paphos in March and wishes to hire a vehicle from the airport to bring over to the North.

Can anyone recommend a Car Hire Company that he could use?

Many Thanks

Nicky

They are not Greeks.

They are Cypriots that speak Greek.

Think your son maybe better getting a taxi from the North to pick him up, then hire a car in NC ... saves a lot of unnecessary hassle ... all the best with it ...

Hi Hutch,

Email Tony Leonidas oasisrent@cytanet.com.cy , he will be able to help. All depends on sons age as they do not rent out to under 25 year olds, but do check. Do mention that you got details from me: Soner Kioufi - If he does not respond in send email again, a bit slow on answering emails sometimes.

Oasis Rent A Car Ltd

Tel 00357 25745581

Email: oasis@oasisrent.com.cy

Also, you will need to sort out turkish insurance prior to arriving. There is a lady called Rabia (Rabiye). Once you have car confirmed call her on 00 90 542 874 39 61 0r 00 357 99355438, she is based at the Pyla Border Crossing. She will help you - if you have problem communicating then email me on i@soner.co.uk and I will try to help. Cost of 1 month Turkish insurance is about USD35 cheaper for 2 weeks.

If car breaks down on Turkish side you will need to organise recovery yourself.

regards

Soner

Petsas are tops. Go on-line, they will also sort your insurance for the north so you will not have to worry about flight arrival times/insurance booth open. My son has used this company twice and was very pleased with the service offered.

I have just hired this past December. Used SIXT rent a car . The contract has a seperate section which you sign, which makes you totally responsible for the car, in the case of an accident. Also if you breakdown in TRNC you are on your own.

At the border you buy 3rd party for TRNC . Cost E35 for one month.

Had a wonderful time in TRNC and had no incidents or accidents.

I have used Petsas car hire a few times now. They have a counter at the airport for pick up and drop off and will arrange insurance for you. It is more expensive than the insurance at the border but is fully comp appart from the excess. All available on line.
