Would be happy to spend an hour or two helping you to get this done at no charge. How easily it can be done or even if it can be done just with the handy cam and laptop alone is down to exactly what inputs the laptop has and what outputs the handycam has. Anyway if you are interested in my offer then email me at erolz@cream.org, if you include the exact model of laptop and handycam at same time I can do some investigation to see what options you may have.

Buddygirl;

You may need to have software on your computer that can record the film on computer onto your DVD. If you are using Windows7, it has "Windows DVD maker" included in the package. Select "computer" from your Desk Top or from the list that opens up when you click the windows icon at the bottom (furthest left). Then click on "C - Drive" icon to open up a new window, showing all the folders for the programs on your computer. Look for "DVD maker" or similar on the folder list and click on it agin to open up yet another window. In the list look down the second column (type) and find where it says "application". Left click on the icon that's opposite on the left and the DVD maker will open. If you want to have easier access in future, right click the DVD maker icon and under the opening list seslect "send", which opens an additional small window from which you select "short cut to desk top" by left clicking it. You will now have an icon for DVD maker on yr desktop
