I have just received this email.

Mary, thank you so much for bringing this story back in circulation, our family thank you and if it only serves to prevent others falling into the same trap.

What is said in the newspaper article is almost correct but let me tell you; no one was vindicated or found not guilty in court as some would say.

There was no contract of a loan so the court’s decision was that no evidence was to be seen.

My family with being the age they was had a gentleman’s agreement with Mr. and Mrs. Crompton and thought better of spending lots of money with lawyers drawing up contracts, they had heard lawyers there are very expensive and to save money they shook hands on the loan, in their day and age that was a done thing.

It was a loan with the interest to be paid monthly and the money to be paid back at a later date with nothing added.

They really did think they had a good relationship with Mr. and Mrs. Crompton and after all loaning someone

I asked someone today what brought them to Northen Cyprus.....and they said they heard that you could just walk round the harbour and someone would give you 35 K !!! True story !

thanks Radio Angel for giving a titter at bedtime. Lov e it! I amgrinning from ear to ear - but there is no money in that! But happily grinning! Thanks again. there is probably only one way I could get money by walking around the harbour - and I am too moral to even contemplate it.
