Hi, We have a fairly large hole in one of the tarmac roads on our complex. We have already damaged our car when we forgot about it and it was full of water and didn't see it. It won't be to long before someone falls in it and breaks a leg or even worse. So does anyone know who we can contact to get it fixed? The butlers wife

We have tried the belediyia who tell us the roads are not their responsibility. The developer does not want to know about the problem, the management company do not seem able to find anyone, hence my post. I was hoping that some Irish gang might have a few metres of tarmac left over from a job, lol.

Repair Tarmac road!!!! We've been here nearly 8 years and Alsancak Belly won't come near our road and we're still living on an unmade up road with crevaces 2ft wide and nearly 2ft deep in places. God help the suspension on our cars!!!

Micky. They could be busy nicking lead off roofs. Currently very busy in Stowmarket area. Self repair of holes with hardcore concrete seems to be the only immediate answer in TRNC.

What a joke!!!! We live down what must be the worst road in Bellapais . The Muhtar has been fobbing us off with promises of an asphalt surface for the past 3 years - still waiting. We have attempted to speak to the Mayor who we understand has the ultimate say in the matter. You go to his office ( only there on Thursday and you cannot make an appointment or speak to him by phone) You go to the Beledyre Office and sit and wait........... forever while all the locals wailk in and are seen straight away. Another case of being quick to take money from the Brits but refusing to help in any way.

Is this the mayor of Girne who has control of that road? He is on Facebook, have a look and ask him the question on there. If he did not want to be approached on Facebook then he would not have joined. And, he does get a salary for what he does. We have no chance down in Karsiyaka, it's the land which time forgot! I think we should go back to donkeys!

Sue, if you fill in holes in the road with donkeys they will become a noise pollutant as they will bray when run over by vehicles.
