Just got our beledere bill from Lapta and water has increased by 50% and street cleaning by 100% but someone forgot to tell them that our income has gone up by 0%

Boy, we sure get a lot of street cleaning here in Karsiyaka seaside

Next I expect they'll double the street lighting - and we still won't have any.......

How does this compare to community tax in the UK for example?



We compare everything else to the UK, so let's have some figures, in good old GBP so we Brits can understand the 'Beledere' figures

£1300 pa in Kent for a Band C, plus £210pa for water/sewage.

Try as you might you can not compare these UK costs to TRNC costs - you can not even compare one county's costs to another nor one location to another - they are all different. You get what you pay for or you pay for what you get, it is the same all over the world.
