The villagers of Karaman have asked me to pass on that: "Long term resident Judith Porter passed away last night at the hospital in Lefkosa. Our thoughts are with husband Barry and daughter Hannah at this sad time."

In light of this the Beetle Drive planned for tomorrow in Karaman is postponed until further notice.

The funeral arrangements will be announced when known.

I am so so so sorry to hear about Judith passing away.

She loved her organ at church and hope the Church dedicate at least a plaque to her for all the sterling service that she did for there.

Judith RIP!!

RIP Miss Judy, you were a wonderful teacher and a great eccentric, they don't make them like that anymore, she will be missed greatly by both parents, teachers and especially children. I feel honored to have known you.

ahhhh Miss Judy - my kids went to her school and we used to go to church - she was larger than life - with an amazing way with children - she gave my kids the opportunity to enjoy being English, although they lived in Cyprus.

God Bless Her Soul...she is in the classroom in the sky...

love

Miss Judy, you taught my children when they were 5 and 6. Now 23 and 24. You wll be missed more than words can tell. I treasure the day that we both ended up at Girne Police station, you the Church organist and me Radio Angel both in dire trouble...while Gary Robb run free ! How we laughed . I will miss you greatly for your humour, old fashioned values and your joie de vivre. Rest in peace , you have earned it. Love Denise x

An amazing lady who will be in our memories for her character and old school teaching so happy to have her teach my daughter tijen and give her the best start in education here in NC which is hard to find.

A huge loss to the community and especially for todays and future children.

With deepest sadness we heard the news of Miss Judy. A unique lady who touched the hearts of so many, tirelessly devoting herself to enriching the lives of our children and serving the Church.

Our thoughts are filled with the fondest memories; your energy, your sense of fun, your total fearlessness in pursing what you believed to be right. Personally, we thank you for creating a warm and nurturing environment, teaching respect, confidence, good manners and a deep love of learning to our daughter, a legacy that will stay with her for life.

Rest in Peace Miss Judy, you will always shine bright in our lives.

Judith, Judith, Judith.... where do I start?

From the very 1st day I met you, you made me laugh.

All the fun we had working together at International Primary School - I think we kept eachother sane!

You taught me so much about teaching.

ALL the children LOVED you. ALL the staff LOVED you. ALL the people that passed by the School and heard you singing at the top of your voice with the children LOVED you!

You were an inspiration to everyone, and especially to me, full of energy, always with a smile and always looking on the bright side.

You were loved by so many, you will be missed by so many and you will be REMEMBERED by so many.

You are a very special lady.

With love,

Nadin x x x

A wonderful friend to many and so great with all the children she had under her care. Although I have been on holiday (and am still here) in the UK for 6 weeks I did not realise she was so ill. You will be sorely missed by many many grown ups and children

Message 22. that was an excellent tribute.

I am so glad our grandson strted his schooling with Miss Judy.

By the time he left, he was well mannered, polite and respectful of rules and authority, thanks to the nature and professionalism of Miss Judy Porter and her staff.

Condolences to her family today.
