hi there guys

i thought i would post this for people thinking of going over to the greek side to go shopping and to purchase meat (anything pork) or dairy products (chesse etc)

reported in reuters the e.u on wednesday have banned all export of fresh meat dairy products and livestock following a confirmed outbreak of foot and mouth disease, south cyprus has been declared a high risk zone told to a news conference by the e.u health commission office



so guys beware and that also means buying any pork products from turkish supermarkets that have had meat or dairy products brought in from the south

its about time the e.u bans something on the south that will mess up their meat export trade see how they like it they will prob complain it's not fair!!!!

The reason that a livestock movement ban is in place is to prevent the spread within live animals. The disease can only survive within a live host ( very rarely kills the animal) and cannot be carried in meat, dairy products or anything else for that matter therefore anything on the shelf of a supermarket/ butcher is perfectly safe to eat.

I have seen the effects of F&M first hand, not pleasant to watch especially watching your stock being destroyed but believe me there many more things in this world to worry about.

according to the report the ban is on all export of fresh meat and dairy products aswell as livestock for them to be saying this and classing south cyprus a high risk zone must mean something

in my eyes its better to safe than sorry dont you think!!!

the same happened last year with bird flu in turkey anything chicken from the supermarkets to the resturants were taken of the shelves and menus for at least 2 weeks just in case till they brought in the new batch of stock which was passed by the health department of the government

and you are right mate there are many other things to worry about but i thought i would make people aware of the situation for me is does not make a diffrence because i would never buy anything like that from the south

erkan,have you seen the cyprus mail today apparenteley the n.c. is the black hole of europe,and the cattle vaccinations were destined for the north but used by southern vets.then begins a scathing attack about prostiution etc.i was in a good mood that soon changed when i read that.Will there be a response to this from the north.

i just read the comments of this deputy leader had to say and he is speaking BOLLOCKS (sorry got me wound up)

he is actually saying that the medicine was used on cattle that was from the north which again is a blatant lie because the south does not import anything from the north, and him saying the north is the black hole because of whores and drugs he should get his facts straight firstly all the drugs (cannabis) comes from the south remember its easier for the smugglers to bring in to the south cos there are less restrictions them being in the e.u and also i have the facts because i have heard many people who smoke this stuff do in actual fact go over to the south to buy their stuff

and secondly if this guy does not agree with the whore houses in the north why is it that these places their best customers are from the greek side also i know this for a fact one of my mates dad owns the playboy club in lefkosa and he tells me their best customers are greek after they have visited the casino's and most of the turks cant even afford to come in to these clubs!!!

ok i dont agree with these places but there is no supply without demand is there mate

so the conclusion is mate yes he has pissed me off with his comments but this bloke is a idiot (nice woring) to go along with the long list of all the other idiots who dont know nothing but love the sound of their own voices PRATTS!!!!!!!

ahh i feel better now ive got that of my chest going off now to roll me a joint and phone miss domi matrix for a home delivery and later on im going off to do a bank job even thou its a saturday and they will be closed L.O.L
