hacking cough especially at night and the doc prescribed diacol and plenty of tea with honey but one week later and im still sick ,he said its an epidemic ,any ideas how to get rid of the cough i would appreciate it

nearly everyone in the uk has this cough/cold.........it is nasty and seems to linger for weeks on end, so one week isnt long in the scheme of things.........hope you feel better soon.......
