If your image of Cyprus is one of densely-packed resorts in the south of the island, you'll be glad to hear there's an alternative side.

Good but somewhat limited article, The readers views at the bottom of the article show that hatred and misinformation are alive and well. Thanks for the post.

They (views at the bottom of the article) also serve to demonstrate that the appeaseniks are delusional when they talk about the shared respect and love they perceive in the divided communities to their respective counterparts north and south..

After thirty years of brain washing, from school all the way through life. This is the view you get from people who have been fed misinformation.

My son whilst at Uni, had a conversation with a GC female friend about what went on here in Cyprus. She refuted the things he told her. When he showed her the web pages relating to the different incidents, she was absolutely gob smacked.

Unsurprising and what is upsetting is not such vitriol but the lack of response from TCs to such one-sided presentation.

I do hope that the UN notices the likely outcome of any political settlement. What good is a political settlement when the hearts and minds are still set in this way.

Just imagine how many days it would take after there is widespread "reintegration" before troubles start again.

I think the main problemis

that the Eu and the Un are both on the ROC side

right or wrong

If N/Cyrus was independent and not replying on Turkey

things may be different

oh and all the troops
