I think a donum is 1/3 of an acre, an acre is = 4,046.85642 so 1/3rd = approx

1,350sm

Therefore 1/2 a donum should be 674 metres square... if you only get 450 you've been diddled I think

joke

tell us the problem then we may be able to help!

only this weekend i had a big row with a cypriot friend (heated words) who insisted that they have gps here for the measuring. they don't!

if they say they do ask which system they are using either the L1 or L2 system?

see if they know what you are talking about!

(one is a private business system and the other is for military use.)

when we did they admitted they didn't have gps at all.

our plot measurement is now being changed at the tapu office, who agree the measurement is wrong, along with the map.

don't worry about it, it all takes years!

Grouch,

I know this is a bit late, but just in case you've confused anyone I think that you meant 674 square metres, not 674 metres square...

Keith.

You are right of course Keith, I bow to your superior measuring skills... 674 is still a lot more than 450 square metres...

Jock,

Sorry to hear of your plight, but welcome to the TRNC. Look on the bright side - it could have been Turkish-title land.

Have to agree with deecyprus4

A donum is 1338sqm. Half=669sqm. Good luck. Check his tape measure, some of them have a few feet missing.
