From today, some travel companies have decided not to sell flights with Cyprus Airways until their financial status is secure. In future passengers with this airline will not be covered with airline failure insurance protection

Don't worry. The government, which holds 69% of the shares, is supposedly in discussions with an external investor to offload some of those shares in return for an input of capital to the airline. It is rumoured the deal will go through in the near future and that the external investor is an airline. So you'll be OK in the summer.................................but to reach your destination don't be surprised if you have to fly via......... Moscow!!!!!

Don't want to scaremonger but please be aware



The flights to Cyprus are very expensive at peak times and options are limited both south and north



Would much prefer to fly through Ercan but little choice means more expensive flights

No i always try to fly via Ercan..either Pegasus or Turkish Airlines



Turkish airlines offer very good deals, just booked a one way for £151 from Gatwick (this weekend)



Baggage allowance is 23k, and of course meals and drinks included.

Always fly BA club into Larnaca 6/7 times a year but I liked the look of the new early return of the Cyprus Airways flight this year and thought I'd give it a go................big mistake by the looks of it!

If they are going to the wall the other airlines will rack their prices up happens every time someone goes bust

After the way my friend was treated by Cyprus Airways during the ash cloud chaos I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole!



No information, no help, rude staff and finally no flight home with them. In the end we got her back to the UK via Ercan and Cyprus Airways never refunded her for the unused return ticket.
