For 2 years now I have been getting letters addressed to my PO Box that was for somebody else,; I even asked on here if anyone knew the name - nobody did. The latest one was boldly printed with "FINAL WARNING" so I decided to open it so I could write to the UK company and tell them of their mistake.

The letter concerned an MBNA credit card with an outstanding balance of nearly £12,000. It said (paraphrasing a little):



"We have already ceased applying interest charges for the last 18 months and now, as further incentive to clear your debt, if you make an immediate single payment of 50% of the outstanding balance then we will write off the remaining 50%."



UNBELIEVABLE - and I am the fool who pays my credit card account in full every month.
