it is to work out ones current satatus on the island,find out if you are a visitor or permenant resident.If you spent over 365 days on the island over the last 2 years,you are no longer a visitor and therefore required to obtain residency............



if you were to import your own staff...furniture/car and you are under the visitors status,the tax on your furniture (used) is minimal and you can get permit for your vehicle to keep on the island until your visitors status are up.Once you are no longer a visitor,anything imported is taxable,there and then.
