Our 8-9 month of male Golden Retriever dog has been lost around the Doğanköy area. It was lost on the 7-2-2012 around 10.30am. He has no name tag, but has a golden,black colour zebra print collar.

pretty certain I sighted this dog on the road to Ozenkoy about 1pm, about 200yds before the dream castle resturant, def youngish and a retriever, with collar, but cant say if zebra stripes, heading towards Ozenkoy, tom

I saw a retriever type dog near the dream castle when I was driving towards Ozankoy, around lunch time today. Sorry, didn't notice a collar as I was driving the car. Hope you find him soon.

Ive just looked at dream castle and around Ozankoy, but theres no sight of him unfortunetely. Please, as said before, if seen straight away call 05338880683. I only live round the corner from dream castle so i can be there in less than 10 mins.

Right behind Dream Castle a lost German Shephard has been found with a brown collar.From what i had been informed by the worker there, the dog has been there for 5 days. Please if any German Shephard has been lost, inform them. Thank you for your interest

Saw what could have been a golden retriever on Thursday evening about 5pm. It was quite slim for a retriever, more red setter build, dark gold, long, groomed hair and it had a collar. It was near Monexchange - it crossed the main road in front of us from the Lemar side of the road.

sophia - i know exactly how you are feeling (we went through the same with Patch last week !!) - maybe he has scented a bitch in season somewhere and has took off to find her.

Will most certainly keep an eye open for him - but please put photos in vets, supermarkets etc.

I saw a young Golden retriever, didnt notice the collar, we were just driving past Ians Auctions (Adolfs) in Ozankoy, he was with another dog, but I remember commenting how beautiful he was.



Dont know if its the right one, looked healthy and happy.

my friend called me early last week with this dog at Shooters (she thought it was my neighbours dog, but it wasnt) he had the zebra collar. I live near there so will keep an eye out for him from now on. email me a picture and I will put it online for you

If Goldie was seen near Shooters coffee bar have you checked down the road going to the new Harbour there are 4 or 5 street dogs who stay together down there I have seen them near Shooters a few times could he have joined them?

I have been keeping an eye open for Goldy at the new harbour and Gumruk area as I live next door, The pack of dogs come passed my house every day and Goldy is not with them, i have checked already

Thank you all for your support and positive wishes, he has not returned home yet unfortunately , today I had to check a dog which was so sadly passed away, but thanks god it was not Goldy. Some people informed me that they saw a golden and I immediately run to the place whereever they said, but it's so difficult to find a dog at the same place even if it's 10 minutes later.... I will ask markets again to put his pictures, thanks for everybody.....

Am pleased for you the dog we showed you was not Goldy and we will keep looking.

If anyone else out there has lost a similar type of dog not exactly sure of breed but I would say a golden retriever or Labrador friends of mine found one today. Sadly it is dead. Location Bellapais on the old cruisader road on the way up from Ozankoy Tasla Tarla Cadessi to Bellapais. The dog is golden coloured and hard to say an age maybe 1 year could be older. No collar that is visible. It is Ravine side over a crash barrier. If you know think it is your dog or a friends please feel free to call me. 0533 863 9947. I do have a photo. Sandra

PLEASE take in to consideration that Goldy may not be so close to home, the reason I say this as our neighbour LOST/STOLEN their Husky....they put it on the internet, reported to the police every way they could think of they did it and living in Karaoglanoglu their Husky was found in Guzelyurt!

A gentleman took the dog from Karaoglanoglu, him and his family were on out visiting, and his Daughter said she liked the dog and obviously wanted it!

Their neighbour thank god saw the actual owners post and called for them to come see if the dog was theirs, they went along with the police and obviously by the dogs reaction it was confirmed, which to the man who stole had no chance of any story.

Hi

Drove past teachers hotel Girne at 13.15 and again at 14.22. On the grass bank next to taxi office are 3 dogs sleeping in the sun. One of them could be Goldy. No collar and his fur was dirty looking. All 3 look in good health. Hope it is Goldy.

I know how you are feeling, In your heart. i have had one I rescued go missing, she was only a half a mile away. I feel in my heart that she is out there, amd beleive me I pray every day. My husband and I saw a large golden retriever on Sat (17th, mid afternoon) in Esentepe outside Tumba restaurant. He was quite big, with no collar; he didn't seem to be in any distress. Not sure if it's the same dog. Good luck with finding him.
