I have watched the video of the handshake and you can clearly see that Evra has his hand extended for each handshake until the arrival of Suarez, when he withdraws his hand until the hand of Suarez passes across his withdrawn hand. There is one point in time that Evra could have accepted a hand but did not. He then intercepted Suarez's arm when he was shaking the hand of De Gea. Evra is a very clever fellow as is his manager Fergie with his unfounded comments.

But who is the biggest racist of them all.......................................RIO FERDINAND as he had nothing to do with Saurez/Evra affair yet he refused to shake Suarezs hand!!

Racism in UK is only going ONE WAY!!!

Lets be frank, if someone had cost you 40 grand would you shake their hand ................I would never !!!

Suarez still denys racism against Evra, even though he was declared guilty. If he refuses to agree that he was wrong why should he have to shake hands. If you were told you were wrong, even though you believed you were not, but then were asked to shake hands would you? Do not think so. Also why should you have to shalke hands before the game, you do not want to wish them luck or a good game you want to win yourself.

Two over rated footballers with massive egos. Both have a history of nastiness so no surprise that they should cross swords on the football pitch. The biggest ego of all then compounds matters by telling Liverpool that they should dump their player not support him. Does he not remember the sickening scenario when he chased Cantana along the beaches of Europe begging him to return to Man U after the players outrageous behavior well beyond anything done by Suarez. I agree with Tonyta. Evra appeared to be more than happy that a contrived situation gave the opportunity to continue the acrimony.

My first reaction was to say that Suarez was in the wrong for not shaking Evras hand. But after Tonyta's comments in mess 1 i watched the tv replays of the incident and as Tonyta says Evra had his hand out as Suarez approached him and then dropped his hand away, so maybe he was going to snub Suarez?? It certainly puts a whole new slant on the affair, as the Man u manager thinks that Suarez acted diabolically and thinks he should never be allowed to play again. If it transpires that Evera instigated the situation will Fergie put Evra out too grass????????????????

What we have to remember is this is Man Utd, the club that has courted controversy for years ...and got away with it. The football writers say nothing aganist them cos they are scared of Fergie.

You may have your views on the Suarez - Evra situation but to me the whole case was a farce, Suarez may have been found guilty but who by ? and with who's evidence ?.

Man Utd's record is appalling what with Cantona, Giggs, Rooney and as for Ferdinand with the drugs issue ,.. his excuse was he could not be contacted ?... Take a look at this clowns twitter account does that look like someone who cant be contacted ?

For me after watching the match and listening to the post match interviews the chanting coming out of the Man Utd dressing room was discussting .....but I would wager nothing will be reported on that.

It may sound like I am bias against Man Utd on this but I am a neutral and favour neither team but I do feel Man Utd get whatever they want when they shout loud enough.

the handshake thing at the start needs to be dropped players dont even look each other in the eye and shake to mean it.

evra is a nasty little ponce and suarez is just as bad

but for me the managers are a disgrace kenny for getting out of his pram and fergie for stirring it up

kenny is becoming a nasty piece of work see the sky interview after the match to see what i mean

fine them both and get on with the football for un sportsmanlike conduct

I agree cyprusairsort on the ban.... but they are suposed to be role models for millions of children all over the world, just shake hands for the sake of the sport and your job, that you paid millions of pounds to do.

I dont like some people at work but still say "good morning" and be social its part of the job.

Man up & get on with it !

goeff watched the replay again, thought evra was a bit shy with his hand out,but suarez had no intentions of shaking hands.anyway enough said about the farce surrounding the game yesterday.i think the point is he called him racial names and the excuse that its ok in his own country was a poor excuse.how long has he been playing in spain.

1650: Manchester United have issued their own statement, accepting Liverpool's apologies from earlier: "Manchester United thanks Liverpool for the apologies issued following Saturday's game. Everyone at Old Trafford wants to move on from this. The history of our two great clubs is one of success and rivalry unparalleled in British football. That should be the focus in the future of all those who love the clubs."

I reckon Dalglish and Suarez have been read the riot act by their powers that be.And been made to apolgise,by their employers.I also think that their apologies will have been made through clenched teeth. How some of you on this particular post could even side in favour of a person whio has just served an eight match ban for racism is beyond me.

United and Liverpool have previous, and its fantastic.I have been to many North west derbies over the years. And i would put the Liverpool game on a par with the City game for atmosphere and passion. But the feeling yesterday inside Old Trafford, was one of hatred. Not nice at all.I wasnt at the game, but have spoken to people that attended.

I thought that Evras diplay at the end was disgraceful, and Fergies comments at the end where totally out of order. But too even suggest that Evra never tried to shake the racists hand is totally out of order.Suarez has now admitted that Evra offrerd his hand and he (Suarez) refused. So how about an apology from

Cont..

all the 44 members that accused Evra for being the sinner in this very unfortunate pe-match debacle. And as for "King Kenny".The guy is an absoulte bloody idiot.Perhaps he should get someone else to do hias after match interviews, like Mancini does.Does he not realise what drivel pours out of his biased mouth.

p.s.

I thought old man Scholsey was magnificent yesterday.Oh and by the way the best team on the day won,

Newlad, I have looked at the video of this incident many times and in very slow motion. Evra had the chance to shake hands but did not, he had previously withdrawn his hand to a point further from the point he had it for the previous handshakes and did not move it towards Suarez when he offered his hand, it then seemed as if Suarez did not intend to shake hands as he passed over were Evra's hand should have been towards DeGea's. It was at this point that Evra reacted, all in milliseconds I know but our brains do work at this speed and Evra was at fault not Suarez. The recording should be watched from the front and you need to look at the previous handshakes to see the changes Evra made to his hand position when Suarez arrived. Looks like he fooled most people. Kenny and co need to look at the video in close detail and then withdraw what is obviously a mistaken apology.

Well paul, after seeing the freeze frame pictures of Evra you wont be getting an apology from me!!! I have already stated that i thought the best team on the day won, and the fact that a ' known racist ' as you call him was involved again with the same player? what can i say. He has served his sentence which was imposed rightly or wrongly, but he HAS served it. Do you want him banned again now for this latest incident?????

Feelings are running high on this but in my opinion Evra not Suarez is more guilty this time and i dont think i will be changing my mind.

I suspect that the apologies were made in order to draw a line under the whole issue. Neither club has come out of this with any semblance of dignity and both managers were guilty of a further 'stoking of the fires' with their post match comments.

Personally, I just hope that this puts an end to all the petulant antics from both clubs !

eyebob re-mess 36,

Me a rumour monger.I would like too think not, just writing what i believe to be true. Its my opinion, and i will stand by it.Geoff has his opinion. As does Tonyta, and i respect that.Even some Liverpool fans on the clubs forum have been amazed at the stance of Dalglish and Suarez. As to having a lot of knowledge re-L.F.C. When they decide to air their dirty laundry in public. Its difficult not too get an insight into the strange goings on at a once great club.Kenny Dalglish has once again made a complete arse of himself, and the club he is supposed to be managing,

All this is getting a wee bit tedious. Lets look at a few facts. Who was the first player to be accused of racism???

Peter Schmeical, who made racist comments to Ian Wright during a game. The only difference is that Schmeichel lied and said he never made the comments, and Suarez was man enough to admit what he had said.

The F.A. have now seen the match report and commented that not shaking hands is not a chargable offence, so no action will be taken against Suarez. But Evras actions whipping up the crowd at the end of the game, is a punishable offence ( crowd incitement ) so why no charge??????????

For any United fan to try to claim the moral high ground when you have players in the team who consistently pay prostitutes for sex, including geriatrics. And its no wonder Paul Scholes does not want to leave his family to play for England when his best mate is on the loose, i mean if he will bed his brothers wife then no woman is safe.

Need i go on??????????
