The totally inept T.R.N.C government will lose millions over this under 60's blood test fiasco everyone I speak to (London Turks , Brits, Russians) is totally disgusted with it people won't put up with being treated like naughty school children especially when they have been here 5 - 10 years plus and own property here. the money moving out will out strip by far any money coming in from unnecessary blood tests.

Marion is in Australia at the moment. Anyone seen anything in the papers today about it.? I have asked my Cypriot friend to look in the Turkish papers, but am not holding my breath.

And even if it is published in the paper, it will no doubt be from an unnamed source close to the Government.

Well, I think 'Happy Hussar' might well have 'hit the nail on the head' - those who can't meet the criteria will be rounded up and summarily deported, and this will alleviate them of the consternation re. losing their properties through memorandums, mortgages, auctions and sundry other scams.

Think of it - there would be nobody left to criticise the government, or complain!

"rounded up and summarily deported" this is more or less what the T.R.N.C government are doing already to the under 60's, I've been here 10 years and in their wisdom they decided to give me only 6 months residency after 10 years and 5 houses later ? where is the logic in that ! they also did this to a Russian man who owns property here. now I have shut down nobody will benefit from anymore of my money here.

It never ceases to amaze me that people who have moved here in the full knowledge it is an unrecognised spoils of war area run by a band of brothers enabling them to live in property and a lifestyle they could only dream of in the real world.................moan when they don't enjoy the benefits bestowed upon them in the UK.

If you don't like it..........go "home".

Otherwise...........stop moaning.

Yes 6 months residency then you have to go to Lefkosa again to beg them to let you stay , I don't think so.

Munchkin, did you accept the 6 month residency that was offered to you please and was it half the yearly fee? Would that mean we would have to face the grim experience of being tested for HIV etc every 6 months?

Ref your message 22

What reasons were given for only granting you a 6 month residency visa?
